Covid Safe Operating Procedures

We take Covid precautions very seriously and would ask all guests to read the following safety procedures

Covid Safety Procedures

As part of our promise to reassure you of your safety when visiting Nevis  Bank we have designed our Covid Safety operating procedures to protect Guests and Staff in this new Covid environment we find ourselves living in. This builds on our existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness which we have been practicing over the years.

Below, we have created an overview of our new procedures in order that you (our guests) can rest assured that you are entering a safe environment.

Check In

To help with a swift check in we will call you (or email) the day prior to arrival when any requests you may have such as your dining options can be discussed and arranged by our team prior to your arrival.

Your Arrival

Upon your arrival at the hotel, reception staff, wearing appropriate PPE, will greet you with a warm socially distanced Highland welcome and provide you with your welcome pack. Complete with your hygienic room key, face-mask and helpful information for the time you are with us. Our receptionist will also talk you through our hygiene procedures implemented to protect you, fellow guests and our team.

Our receptionist will not handle any baggage unless required to aid in preventing touch points during your arrival. However, if you require assistance, all you need to do is remove your luggage from the boot of your car and we will transport it to your room disinfecting any surfaces we have touched before and after.

Additionally, to increase safety travelling throughout the hotel, we have removed contact points en route to your room and between our public areas. All public doors will be sanitised constantly though out the day and night.

Sealed Hotel Rooms

You can be assured that every measure has been taken to ensure the cleanliness of your room. Not only have we introduced complete room disinfecting measures, but we have some new gadgets too! Our cleaning staff will fog your room after cleaning to ensure no areas are missed. With touch point items disinfected using industry-leading cleaning products and procedures. We then spray your room for a maximum effort of hygiene. Finally, your room will be closed off, so you have the comfort of knowing that no-one has entered the room after it has been cleaned.

We have also removed certain gadgets and items, such as alarm clocks, to reduce touchpoints. However these can be requested, should you require them.

Daily Housekeeping

A traditional housekeeping service is still available however for your safety we ask that you are not in the room whilst housekeeping are servicing. If you would prefer not to have traditional housekeeping service, all you need to do is let us know when you check-in.

Socially Distanced Dining & Public Areas

After a busy day of sight-seeing and exploring the beautiful countryside, you can relax comfortably with our socially distanced dining. Here you can enjoy a drink or delicious meal in our new socially spaced dining areas.

Following the Scottish Governments update to restrictions, the Highlands will become a Tier 3 region when we reopen on Monday 26th April.

Resident guests  dinner will be served with last bookings at 7pm and alcohol unavailable. Please be aware we have a 10.00pm curfew when you must retire to your room. After the 10.00pm curfew, we will still be able to offer room service so you can enjoy a nightcap in your bedroom.

Seating must follow Scottish Government guidelines at the time of dining e.g. maximum of 6 individuals from 2 households.

Contactless Checkout

Finally, there will be no need for you to check out at reception as final bills will be emailed to you on departure. All you need to do is inform reception if you would like to use this service. and you’re good to go! Should you have any questions, call reception from the phone in your room.

We also respectfully ask that you to call reception when departing your room to allow our housekeeping to have the longest time possible cleaning the room before the next guest we are due to welcome arrives.

Our Promise

Please make your reservation with us knowing that you are in dedicated, caring, responsible and approachable hands. To our old friends that we have missed over recent months, we look forward to welcoming you back. To the new friends we have yet to meet, we hope that our “Safely Sound” programme reassures you of our very best efforts to keep you safe and sound. And always with the famous Highland welcome.
